Did you know....
That connecting rods do NOT break for the horsepower thrown at them but from tension loads. Heavy pistons, long
stroke cranks, and high rpm's will pull a rod in two. Selection of the correct stroke, rod and piston combination will
give you the best and most reliable results.
A steel forging is stronger than a steel billet IF neither is heat treated, or if they are not heat-treated properly. When
a part is heat treated correctly, the temperature changes the grain structure and removes the grain flow that is
present in a forging. Proper heat treatment will change the steel to a fine grain structure that is stronger than the
original forging.
RPM is introducing a patented new H Beam design that is capable of handling more than 1200HP.
